Karla brings a wealth of professional experience to the table, wearing multiple hats as a small business owner, real estate agent, holder of a residential builder’s license, and tax preparation associate. She’s also served as a volunteer sheriff’s deputy in her community.
For the last five years, Karla has become a dedicated leader in her attempts to end property tax for all Michigan land owners. She has also gained a wealth of knowledge on how government works (and doesn’t work), and knows how to leverage this knowledge to benefit the people.
Far beyond her extensive resume, Karla’s life experience has shaped her fight for the people. She isn’t a career politician. She is one of “We the People” and has been caring for an elderly parent and balancing the demands of family and entrepreneurship all while working countless hours visiting every corner of Michigan in her mission to end property taxes. So, Karla has seen firsthand the toll ineffective government and over taxation has taken on Michigan families. It’s this firsthand knowledge that fuels her dedication to fighting for tax reform – including the total elimination of property taxes. She is dedicated and driven by a genuine desire to ease the burden on hardworking folks like you.
Karla’s motivation doesn’t just come from her professional experiences. As a Christ-loving believer, she is guided by the belief that her talents are meant to be used for the greater good and that she has been called by God to serve the people of Michigan. Moreover, her work with AxMITax has led her to believe that her work is not finished in trying to return the power to the people. She is answering the call to put her determination and skills to good use. That’s why she’s committed to leveraging her passion for helping people and her experiences to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of millions of Michigan citizens.
If Karla is elected governor, she vows to return this position to be a seat for We the People as it always should have been.
