By keeping more in your pocket, and out of the pockets of big government, we can ensure that Michigan families, farmers, and small businesses are taken care of.  We need to end the crush of rising costs, prohibitive taxation, and government corporate favoritism.  We need to reward hard work – not punish it!  This is achieved by restoring fiscal discipline in Lansing.  Deregulation and aggressively slashing taxes will remove current barriers to economic growth. We must protect homes, empower local business, and create actual opportunity in every corner of Michigan.

Karla’s administration will shrink government by shrinking its budget.  She has a plan to eliminate all unnecessary spending and vastly reducing taxes (including the abolition of property tax).

This restoration of freedom will support our farmers, encourage small-scale homesteading, reduce insurance costs, and return the taxpayer funded programs to their original scope. Every dollar spent must be scrutinized to ensure it benefits Michigan families and not the endless bureaucracy.

Government exists to serve the people and protect our rights – not to control them.  It is time for the overreach, excessive regulations, and bloated agencies to get out of the way of innovation and growth.  Lansing has driven up costs and eroded public trust for decades.  Michigan needs government which is efficient, fully accountable to the people, and doesn’t hide its bad policy behind layers of obstruction.

Karla will reign in unnecessary regulations, reassess costly programs, dissolve the ineffective departments and explore part-time legislation to help refocus our government on its core duties.  In addition to cutting funding – auditing programs and evaluating ways to streamline processes – will restore accountability, encourage the innovation we need, and ensure responsible solutions.

Safe communities and fair elections are the foundation of a free society. Michiganders deserve confidence that laws are enforced, justice is timely, and elections are secure. Public safety should never be sacrificed for politics, and election integrity should be beyond question.

Karla will fully support law enforcement, improve court efficiency, explore prison reform where appropriate, and ensure elections are transparent through clean voter rolls and paper ballots. These reforms will strengthen trust, protect constitutional rights, and uphold the rule of law across Michigan.

Karla will reform school funding, promote vocational education options to equip students for success, and ensure that big government gets out of the way of the economic growth needed to benefit this initiative.
